PNG & JPEG Image Compressor
See the current size, then save a smaller JPEG for the web or for sharing.
Add one photo, or several. You will see the current size, then how the smaller JPEG looks beside it.
Drop PNG, JPG, or WebP images
One photo, or several, from this device.
How it works
- Choose up to 20 PNG, JPEG, or WebP photos.
- See the original size next to the smaller size.
- Check the Before and After previews.
- Download one photo, or press Download suggested for all of them.
Good to know
- Photos are saved as JPEG. Transparent areas of a PNG turn white.
- Two sizes are suggested: one for the web (up to 1,920 px on the longest side) and one for sharing (up to 1,280 px).
- If a photo is already a good size, the tool tells you instead of making it worse.
100% client-side processing. No file uploads. No data stored.
Questions
- Why is the result a JPEG when I added a PNG?
- JPEG makes photo files the smallest. To keep a PNG as a PNG, use the Image Resizer.
- Will the photo look worse?
- A little, because that is how a file gets smaller. Use the Before and After previews to check.
